Norwich Synchronised Swimming History

Norwich Synchro Club was formed from Hellesdon Seagulls, a small synchronised swimming club started by Maureen Crowfoot. The girls originally trainined after school at Hellesdon High School and Hellesdon Seagulls held their first display and grading session in July 1982.

Since then the club has developed, going from strength to strength, changing its name to Norwich Synchronised Swimming Club (NSSC). The club now has a membership of about 35 swimmers between the ages of 9 and 17 years old.

Norwich Synchro Club is a recreational based club. All the swimmers train according to ASA guidelines with the emphasis on participation and enjoyment. During the year the club enters a number of competitions and all the girls are encouraged to take part at appropriate levels.
